A lovely sunny Wednesday afternoon and an equally sunny Mrs D greeted me and over a cup of tea asked if I could cut back the ivy growing up and over the side fence and trim a couple of bushes.

As I cut, Mrs D tidied away the garden waste as we chatted about her life, work and family spread near and far.

A joy to be able to give her a bit of help.
