Just a Litter-Pick of your Park(run)
14 GoodGymers made their way 5.0km to help their local community in Southwark.
- Saturday, 7th of September 2019
- Led by Ian Gostling
13 runners from north & south attended GoodGym's Peckham Rye Parkrun volunteer takeover!
Starting early with some litter picking Katherine, Emma, Lucy & Ian met at 8.15 filling 2 bags of rubbish along the paths.
Shout out to Emma for attending her first GoodGym mission!
Filling all the roles of Time keeping, Funnel Manager, Marshals, Finish Tokens, Barcode Scanners & Pacers! We truly took over with our Red & Black t-shirts (undetneath Hi-Viz and warm clothing!)
Ian gave a very short speech introducing GoodGym to the amassed group of waiting runners about who we are and what we do. Our Pacers David, Simon, Rob & Ian then slotted into the pack ready to send people on their way to new PBs!
After successfully running, directing, scanning & cheering 354 runners through their local Parkrun a group photo and pat on the back was due! And finished off with at tasty social brunch at Cafe G.
Well done all Happy Saturday!
