Just a quick warm up in Richmond tonight as we are taking the heat off.... the fuel bills that is !!

Although a smaller team tonight compared to last week we were mighty in spirit! Now here's a riddle before we start ...how does 9 become 10 then 9 once again? As that's the numbers that took part in the GG race tonight to deliver leaflets to two separate areas within the Richmond Borough...Ham and Mortlake.
The leaflets were on behalf of Richmond Council offering local residents the chance to get £85.00 off their fuel bill. So it was our duty to find as many letter boxes with as few dogs and draught excluders as possible in order to get through all 600.
Our mantra ... 2 teams, 300 leaflets each , one went left and the other went right, to be back at wholefoods by 8.30 tonight. Leaflet free, full of victory sweat, of course WE DID IT!
On her first run Catherine was left full of fear after the briefing that a ferocious dog was waiting for her on the other side of a Mortlake front door while Jenna needed back up from Kate as she entered a front garden in Ham that resembled something from a Hallowèen film (so much ivy!)
At the end of a dark and deary Monday night in January we were all winners....we hadn't succumbed to the pay day excited and so wasn't in the pubs like other fellow Richmond residents. Instead we were doing good and getting fit all at the same time.
Good luck to Holly and Jill for the Winter 10km this Sunday.
