Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
4 runners took on the drizzle to help Mr Fantastic - otherwise known as Abraham to clean up the streets of Willesden on a 3 mile round trip.
Tonight saw the return of Dan lead the group through the streets of Brent as cover, and also saw first timer Liz! We also had Enrique join for his second run and after some swift catching up and moaning about the drizzle we soon set off to meet our man, Abraham.
We ran down the Willesden Hughstreet dodging and weaving and of course stopping at traffic lights, at a lovely pace set by Sadhana. As we warmed up we soon approached our meeting point and saw the litter picking equipment at the ready. Armed with blue bin bags and t-rex like claw grippers we set about cleaning the mess left by the pavement.
Time flew by and before we knew it it we had filled 10 bin bags between us, and even found an old chair! The time had come to say farewell and head back to base camp, but not without some SPRINTS!
Dan had the group doing sprints, crab lunges, high knees and step ups but all in the name of FUN and GETTING FIT. Smiles were beaming as we headed back to the Queensbury Pub.
All in all a very successful night, with heart rates raised and the streets of Brent cleaner. Good job Brent GG!
