Folks must be getting busy with lockdown restrictions easing - we had 3 late cancellations and one no show!!! So it was up to me and John to get our secateurs on and cut some serious brambles! We focused on the same area we were clearing on the last visit and this time we discovered a couple of pedestals under the ivy and brambles.
Julia felt personally attacked by brambles with a lot of small thorns splintering her hands, think it's time to get proper gardening gloves! John was quick to point out that he 'came prepared' with his proper gloves :) Indeed!
It was such a lovely day - sun was shining, birds were chirping and spring flowers in the churchyard bright with colour! We did about 45-50 mins of clearing whilst chatting about abandoned places, buildings, towns (because why not?) - must be something about an overgrown yard perhaps:)
Overall a great break in the day to cycle (John) and run (Julia) to and from the session!
