On a very hot evening a few of us met up at the Waterloo Gym prepped for a sweaty evening of getting fit and doing good.
As it was so warm we decided we would stick to the shorter of the two routes planned and made sure we all had some water to carry with us. After some quick introductions we went outside for a warm up and set off at a steady pace over to Waterloo in search of some homeless people.
The task tonight was handing out cards to the homeless. These are cards that they can hand over to the receptionist when registering at a GP surgery, and they explain that they don't need to have a permanent address to register.
We went over Waterloo bridge and along the strand and found an area where there was another organisation giving out free hot meals, so we stuck around there and spoke to lots of the people that were queueing.
We dispersed all our cards and everyone that we spoke to seemed very happy in the knowledge that they can still register at a GP surgery.
Whilst jogging back along the river we reminisced about an evening well spent.
