Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A beautiful sunny evening in Bath, with a flat but scenic 3k route for nine amazing Goodgym runners to Manvers Baptist church but this time to paint the walls a subtle shade of green with a contrasting racing green for the woodwork.
Great to see the return of a few familiar faces tonight from being super busy people or having had some lovely holiday time ... Lucky things .
Sam and Ed kindly offered to lead tonight's group giving Steph a chance to back mark for a change and it gave me a chance to chat to the group whilst on the move.
Headcount and warm up out of the way, the guys took the scenic route alongside the canal and they even stopped for a regroup with Helen leading on those super squats we love so much before Moving on along and over the bridge into the Southgate centre where Steph had the group down on the Turf with a little PR stunt, a Super Seven minute rotating circuit session, just a few moans and groans as they Felt The Burn.
We arrived at the task in good time enabling us to devote a good 40 minutes on the job and as always Our host Pete was organising us within minutes . The Tall People painting high(that'll be Ed and Sam) everyone else going low and Helen cutting corners (well hopefully not) Mary manage to paint herself with Lucy, Miriam and Sarah covering as much wall as humanly possible whilst Joe was getting all nostalgic in a Laurence Llewelyn Bowen style colour scheme or was it Carol Smiley.
So after the changing rooms time was up and we grabbed the obligatory group photo, our host Peter gave us an added challenge tonight. This was set by one of the parishioners to complete a marathon distance running a measured loop 67 times in total to celebrate the Paralympics and all monies raised will go to Childline, so with a little help from Goodgym Bath covering 10 laps the target is almost reached.
Time for a stretch and chat about everything Goodgym, we even spotted the bike Steph painted for Tour of Britian City display at these very point.
Thanks Joe for tonight's pun and everyone for yet another Fabulous job done in our Beautiful City.
A reminder to bring your ID documents for checking at the next group run.
