Keep it trim!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Sheffield.
- Sunday, 11th of August 2024
On a bright and sunny Sunday morning GoodGymmers Michelle and Céline met bubbly Mr B to help him keep his hedge down. The privet and the brambles had started to take over and grown so tall they were blocking the sun and he could not appreciate his backyard. Armed with a strimmer and a stepladder, one of us strimmed while the other supported the ladder. We even encountered a bird’s nest but Mr B told us the blackbird family had left a while back. In no time, we had tamed the wild hedge and raked off the trimmings. Mr B had kept us hydrated and entertained and declared it was more than he had expected! We were all pleased! What a great morning it was to meet this kind and sprightly gentleman!
