6 runners ran 2k to water a community garden in Newham

A wonderful evening for outdoor exercise it was yesterday. Warm enough to walk around in shorts and a t-shirt, yet not too humid to run. I was excited to get back into my Wednesday rhythm after missing the last two weeks due to racing and holidaying.

A superb 6 of us on the day...after some brief catch up chit chat, we began the colossal journey to Mobile Garden City - one of our favourite community gardens.

After a small bit of blundering around outside the garden gates, my fault (looking for the padlock code), we entered our task location. Pete read out the task description with curious intonation, i felt like I was being read to in school - it was great!

Many plants to water, almost 100 actually, each with 20litres of water...that's an H2O intensive process. But once you see some of the flowers and unique plants they grow there...it validates their hydration and makes it all worthwhile!

Was a pleasure to catch up with Rodrigo , after having not seen him for a couple of months. With a claim that he cam make 10 GG Newham sessions consecutively, 7 to go big man - WE BELIEVE.

After we nourished the never ending plants...we locked up and shooted on back, on a little diversion actually. Past Sainsburys to confirm they stock coal and/or disposable barbecues in prep for next week's social. They did...so next week (unless there's horrific weather) we'll have a good old barbecue and knees up...after our good deeds have been done well and proper.

So if you haven't been for a while...make next week your return. Should be an awesome evening!

See you then!
