Well, it turns that we don't know our onions as the ones at the SHP Allotment were so over ready they pretty much jumped out of the ground themselves, one could call them spring onions 😂. A little googling from task owner and closet Good Gym member Lorena showed we should have had the onions out before they flowered. It seems no real harm done as the bulbs still felt firm so they were harvested along with the garlic and taken off to James Leal House to see what the chef there could do with them.

There was a little post onion pull watering and weeding of the other beds by which time I had dried out from the wet cycle in and was ready to cycle home again in some lovely sunshine 🌞
