Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Nick Moore
Ms M's mantra to me today whilst reading her list over the phone was "late dates - please only buy bread, fruit or vegetables if the best before date is at least 3 days away - anything else would be a waste of money". Fortunately, being a regular shopper for another late date fan, my arms have adapted well to reaching to the back of the shelves in Waitrose to hunt down the longest dated items...mark that down as a skill learned during lockdown.
There must be some very shiny floors in any homes around a Waitrose at the moment, as large floor wipes have proven impossible to find on their shelves, and I even looked up online but discovered there not available in the ether either - otherwise managed to tick nearly everything else on Ms M's list, and it was then back to her flat and deliver onto her kitchen top.
Was good to have another chat with Ms M who mentioned she was managing to get out and about a bit more now, although still avoiding anywhere busy and concerned about getting on public transport - she mentioned a couple of tasks that she wondered if GoodGym could help her with and I said she should ask her referrer to raise them to see if we could help in some way. As always, Ms M was extremely grateful for all the help that GoodGym has given her over the past few months.
