Laundry task was a Load off my mind
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Monday, 25th of January 2021
Not for the first time on a GoodGym task, I had to search all round the block to find the correct entrance to Ms A's flat. Then I couldn't get the buzzer to buzz. I phoned Ms A who said it wasn't working. But another resident, who was aware of GoodGym, let me in and I was able to collect Ms A's laundry.
The assistant at the launderette was very helpful with the laundry load, in contrast to the grumpy lady I once encountered at a local establishment mis-named 'That Friendly Launderette'.
All that was required was another GoodGymer to complete the task by taking the laundry back to Ms A later. I quickly cycled home to get back to work, resuming ten minutes later than I mas meant to. But then, I would have left home a bit earlier if I hadn't been finishing off previous work tasks. So fair's fair.
