woah-wow-we-wah! We kicked off the run with a guard of honour for Laurie who was completing her 250th good deed! Incredible achievement and the first Chelmsford GoodGymer to make it! I am sure she'd like to thank me and couldn't have done it without me.

After waiting for Jenny and doing a warm up to avoid certain death, we jogged to meet Fay and Sallyann near Telford place. The highlight of the run took place at this point, Andy started to strip off to show us his wings.

Grabbing handfuls of leaflets we headed to Springfield Road to deliver the Nightstop leaflets - a really great cause who have helped homeless youths have over 1500 nights off the street in the last year.

We wandered down the side streets - some lovely houses down there - not quite as fancy as Andy's ability to leave his heating all night though - but I'd take them. We gave out several hundred flyers and looped back to the university, stopping to take a picture with the elusive GoodGym flag, something Rich has been hiding for a couple of years...

Stay tuned for next week's task. At the very least we will go for a run together and maybe get an ice cream.

Depaul UK - Nightstop Essex
Nightstop Essex is a brand new service currently recruiting for volunteers in Chelmsford and Colchester. The service hopes to begin hosting people facing homelessness by winter 2021.

Nightstop Essex offers emergency accommodation for young people facing homelessness. This accommodation is offered in the homes of trained and vetted volunteers, who are supported by professional staff. This offers an accommodation option which may be more suitable for young people than traditional homeless shelters. The national Nightstop Network comprises over 30 services across the UK, and is run by national homeless charity Depaul UK. Telephone: 07929 750574 (Chelmsford) 07516 574318 (Colchester) Email: nightstop.essex@depaulcharity.org.uk
