A lovely mission this morning for myself and Jennie, meeting up at Mrs J's and after a nice chat with her, we set about tidying up the garden.
First time strimmer duty for Jenny (with much wire adjustment), with myself on mower duty (after some nifty blade straightening), both taking care not to get in each others way and more importantly avoiding each others electric cables.
This also meant having to move lots of grandchildren's play equipment, including a trampoline under which we found, and disposed of, an ex-squirrel, so that we could tidy up all of the lawn area.
Filling black bin bags as we went, Jennie then moved on to lopping (one of our favourite gardening terms) bushes and branches that were overhanging Mrs J's garden from next door, whilst I finished off the mowing duties and then joined in the chopping and snipping action with some shears, attacking brambles and bushes alike.
We spent a lovely couple of hours (expired rodent aside) chatting whilst we worked, refreshed by tea and juice from Mrs J. The back garden was certainly looking a lot tidier by the time we left, enabling Mrs J to sit out in the sunshine and enjoy a cup of coffee.
Oh and check out Jennie's nifty strimmer action!

Love these action shots! My dad would be so proud haha. It was cloudy, but I’ve realised I caught the sun on my face when I got that wonderful outdoor-day warm-faced snooziness this evening ☺️ Thanks for another lovely mission Dave (and for taking on the squirrel disposal duties!)
