Report written by Laurie Chatterjee (she/her)
After most of the group meeting at 6.15, half of us set off for the task so we could get started early. Becca and Richard E were resourceful enough to find the tool shed, so by the time the others arrived we were in full swing of raking leaves.
We filled the two bins quickly, and to try and fit more in, Tav pushed leaves down with a rake using a similar technique to mashing potatoes, and Rich got in a bin.
The bins and couple of available bags were filled in record time, leafing us plenty of time to get to our dinner at 8pm. Even though the route was slightly longer on the way back, it seemed quicker because everyone was so ready for our latest social at Byron.
Great work everyone, and we'll be back to St John's for more leaf clearing!
See you all soon!
Laurie
