Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Undeterred by the winter chill four enthusiastic GoodGymmers turned up for today’s task and in true GoodGym fashion extended a warm welcome to newest GoodGym member Jo! (Jo also came up with today’s witty pun!)
Following a much needed ‘warm up’ we began our run which saw us return to the Silver Birches care home in Richmond. Sadly, there were no Christmas decorations to put up just yet, (we are hoping to return for a festive task at a later date) but our team of four GoodGymmers set to work sweeping away the last of the autumn leaves.
Over the past three months GoodGym Richmond have become sweeping aficionados; this evenings chat did not only focus on our favourite topic of ‘food’ (WHICH meant the run trainer was putting a shopping list together for return to Wholefoods) but also saw us discuss the features of a ‘good broom!’
Such was the extent of the task - we were unable to fit in our favourite broom related fitness sessions (regular Richmond GoodGymmers will know what I am talking about!) but Mark our dedicated GoodGym trainer lent us a hand (rather than freeze on the spot)and we left the Silver Birches care home looking spick and span collecting at least 8 bags worth of leaves!
We ran swiftly back to Whole Foods in Richmond for a quick cool down and of course to fill our shopping baskets.... You know our run trainer had never had pumpkin pie before tut tut ...Now he just needs to know best warm or cold?
GoodGym Richmond – THERE ARE ONLY TWO MORE RUNS LEFT IN 2016!! Join us week for our penultimate task and don’t forget the 12th December we will be going to the Victoria Inn – the site of our ‘watering can’ task for a festive drink!
See you next week! Run Rep courtesy of Sara Meeajan.... THANK YOU
