Arghhhhh, another wet Monday night in Bexley, but that didn't stop 3 awesome runners showing up and getting the word out for The Community Hospice with their leaflet drop. Because of the rain we found a comfy place to sort out the leaflets ready for posting so the paper wouldn't get to wet. It was then time to brave the elements as we headed out down Brampton Road to complete our mission.

IT WAS TIME TO BRAVE THE ELEMENTS

You will be surprised how much quicker you can run when you want to get back and out the rain. Like a well oiled machine we paired up and took a side of the road each. First team to the end of the road wins the points. Points were tallied at the end to find a winning team. Annoying as it is not to have won, i didn't lose either as it turned out to be a draw...... For the record no blows came between the two teams :'-) With the good deed done it was time to head back to base camp. The conversation quickly turned to 'we can't wait for the lighter warmer nights to arrive'. I think the thought of this took us all to a happy place as we splashed our way through the puddles to finally arrive back at base camp Crooklog.

Being soaked through we didn't want to hang around for long but we all had that awesome sense of achievement flowing through our veins as we hi fived our accomplishments. Thats what Goodgym is all about, team work, helping each other and our community out, having fun, all whilst getting ourselves as fit as possible.

Massive well done to Cheryl, Susan and Sarah for getting out last night. You were all awesome. Till next week then...............
