Thanks to a well-timed break in the rain, two GoodGym-ers arrived at the TRAID charity shop in Lewisham unexpectedly dry on this dark November evening.

We got going straight away, removing a wide variety of clothes from their hangers and putting them into giant cardboard boxes, ready for sorting and re-distributing at the central warehouse. We even got to learn some important new life skills like operating the heavy duty parcel tape dispenser (I hope someone put that into the Risk Assessment...!)

Working with the TRAID team we made light work of the racks of clothes around the shop, and after just 40 minutes we had everything packed away and securely taped up. All that was left was to take a couple of quick photos and say our goodbyes.

For anyone who hasn't heard of TRAID, it is a brilliant charity who work to stop clothes from being thrown away. They turn clothes waste into funds and resources to reduce the environmental and social impacts of our clothes. Look out for the next community mission, which should be taking place around March next year!
