Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
A nice relaxed summer run this evening. We started from our new home at the Arch Gallery, a stonking new gallery and event space in one of the biggest railway arches in the area - a really exciting new addition to Bethnal Green and East London life. We headed out over our very own zebra crossing and straight along the canal. Due to a mishap with too much sun causing trouble at Stepney City Farm, we changed our plans last minute to go and finish off the job of gathering the last of Autumn's leaves at our old friends at Victoria Park. We set ourselves the target of beating our previous record of 80 bags in 30 mins.Using the latest in leaf gathering technology, including green grabber-type-things, we set to work quickly working ferociously until the 100m patch was pretty much leafless.By the time we emerged from the woods 105 bags had been filled in 35 mins. Pretty good. The park wardens officially declared it a world guiness record and we were all famous. On the way back both our speedy group led by Becca and the efficient straight home crew headed past the new pagoda (how lovely) and had some water from the fountain. After a quick debriefing we heading back out into the sunshine feeling pretty good about things. A few people suggested some kind of crazy non-running kind of meetup thing. The Arch have a few things coming up, so we'll let you know what's going on and maybe see you all for a summer drink even?
