Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Richmond runner
Blessed with some lovely sunshine , a group of Goodgymmers flocked from different corners of Richmond Green to meet at our trusty little shed that would hold the treasures for today's task. We just had to get inside first. 3 of us tried the rusty lock with no luck, Mena reminded us all of the phrase "lefty loosey , righty tighty" after I was just turning it in all directions and getting nowhere. T to the rescue! The fourth person to try and success! She got in! (I am sure we must have loosened it for her!)
Once in there was an abundance of buckets, scrubbing brushes and cleaning products. We were ready , but wait, water? Our first thoughts were to head to one of the nearby cafes but then we spotted a guy washing his car at the front of his house with a jet wash, so we asked and he was glad to help 😊
And so we got to work, 13 bollards to clean around Richmond Green, we split into pairs and got scrubbing, watching the white of the bollards start to look a bit brighter in the morning sunshine. After all that scrubbing we worked up an appetite to enjoy ice cream on the green together.
