Mountsfield Park ahead of #parkrun looked as though many of the bins hadn’t been emptied for days and there was rubbish everywhere. It was a job for a couple of people, the bad news was that only I had signed up. The good news was that I persuaded a friend to come and help with promises of lemon drizzle cake,; the pair of us cleared vast amounts of bottles, cans, take away detritus, a pair of boxers and a canister of laughing gas. Much cake was eaten after tail walking for my 100th parkrun volunteer credit.
