"Have you moved a fridge before?" asked Ms Z. "No, but we have helped to lift a shed with Good Gym Kingston" we replied enthusiastically. This was the mission for a very lovely Ms Z: helping to move her old fridge downstairs from outside her front door to next to the bins outside, so that it could be collected for disposal.

Ms Z gave the top tip of the mission: you don't actually have to lift the fridge, you can shimmy it along. And so, the Fridge Shimmy was launched: we wiggled, twisted and shimmied the fridge around the corner in the corridor to the lift (and how grateful we were to have the lift...), manoeuvred it into the lift, took the mandatory in-lift-with-fridge selfie and then started our descent down to the ground floor.

Jane managed some epic door opening whilst moving the fridge, we negotiated the small step to the outside together, and then created a rendition of Ross moving the sofa in Friends (and cherished fond memories of the show), calling "pivot" whilst we shimmied the fridge down the ramp and to it's new temporary home by the communal bins (and remnants of a poor bike frame). When we mentioned that we both need to do some upper body strength training the other week, I don't think this is what we had in mind - but potentially good training for the Richmond Good Gym Tug of War...

Another couple of Good Gym selfies later and our work was done - and this will hopefully have made it a lot easier for Ms Z to get in and out of her flat now.
