Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Tim Dickson
A little cold and damp in Bexley last night but spirits were high as always. I love the sign in as we have a great chat about our weekend and what we got up to. Of course us Bexley crew were at the Santa Dash Danson Park which i have to say was a brilliant morning. Tonight we were off out leafleting. Its actually a brilliant way to get fit, and we're always surprised at the distance we actually run when doing these task. As a couple of us had some muscle sore / injuries to carry, we really paid extra attention to our warm up this evening before heading off down Brampton Road. I have to say we've mastered the skill of leaflet dropping and its really quite cool to watch as everyone is weaving in and out of the driveways chatting to each other at the same time. Its also a great time to plug Bexley Goodgym as everyone walking down the street always asks whats going on. Our personal goal tonight however was to see who could get rid of their leaflets first and i'm pleased to report that Sharine was this weeks winner. I have to say though tonights task was made a lot more fun as most of the houses we visited were all Chrimbo decorated up, so we did stop quite a few times to admire the work people had done, and of course grab a photo in front of them :-) As the evening drew to an end and with all leaflets gone, we regrouped and started on a steady run back to basecamp. Tonights run back talk was all about the London Marathon to which we are excited to have two Bexley Goodgymers running in. So over the next few months i hope to be able to give them some great running tips, plans and drills to help push them to the finish line. Hey Goodgymers!!! Next week is our last Bexley Goodgym run for 2017 so come on make sure you sign up and join us. Wearing something Christmassy is going to have to be compulsory........ To finish off i want to give a massive hi 5 to my running and task partners this week. Ladies you were awesome. See you all next week.........
