We kicked off last night's GoodGym group run with a long discussion about Glastonbury after last weekend's fun - did you know that the first Glastonbury festival was in 1970 and a ticket would have set you back the princely sum of £1!

Chatting all thing Glasto, parkrun and VI guiding, we ran down to Cultivate to help with some flower beds they have put in to make the business district more sustainable, attractive and healthy for local residents ahead of the judging that is happening this week.

While Harvey got a good workout ferrying watering cans, Luis and Jonathan began picking out every single piece of rubbish in the beds. Turns out it was those nasty old cig butts that were once again our nemesis, and we lost count of how many we fished out of the plants. As Luis remarked, they were litter-ally everywhere (thanks for this week's pun!).

After a good weed and water, it was time to try and get some Cultivate signs in the ground, but the recent hot weather, while good for our mood, proved to be less helpful for hammering signs into the earth. Thankfully Oberon turned up with some helpful tools, and after we watered the ground, we managed to eventually, after much muscle power, get three in place. Great job!

Next week we'll be back to put the remaining signs in and do some more watering. You can sign up for it here. Have a weekend of happy running, GoodGym!
