Litter, Litter, Everywhere...But Not For Long
1 GoodGymer made their way to help the Croxteth Community Garden in Liverpool.
- Wednesday, 15th of September 2021
- Led by Matthew
On an unseasonably hot September afternoon, Matthew went and picked litter for the Croxteth Community Garden. Before lockdown he had been over to meet Rachael, one of the volunteers who runs the garden. It was so lovely to be able to help them out, not only because they are a small outfit but because they really are making an amazing difference in their community.
In advance of an event on Friday Rachael asked us to pick litter from the garden, which is in a public space, so the community could come together and not have to trip over all the rubbish that the public leave. Two hours and one huge bag of litter later and the job was done. Matthew has described GoodGym as a budget version of DIY SOS and it is great to be able to help out individuals and organisations across the region, both small and large.
