A team of 5 of us headed to Wanstead Park this morning to help The Friends of Wanstead Park with their monthly litter pick

Hilary used the run to and from Wanstead to add miles to her current LEJOG challenge.....(she is currently near Manchester).Helen took a gentle stroll to join us,Rosa took the cycling option to cover the 3 miles from home to the park.Kevin and I decided to run the 2 miles but had seriously misjudged how warm it was, which was a definate improvement on the weather we had been expecting.

After signing in and collecting bags and litter pickers we headed towards Perch Pond and then circled back to the Temple with 3 full bags.

As today marked my 300th good deed I had baked a banana loaf for us to enjoy with a well deserved hot drink,it went down well.

Our mission is to tell the story of Wanstead Park to its visitors, to improve its facilities and recreate in places some of the atmosphere of the ancient gardens and park
