Litter picking in the sunshine (well daylight)...
3 GoodGymers made their way 3.0km to help their local community in Derby.
- Tuesday, 22nd of March 2022
- Led by Rachel Carthy
Third time trying to submit this run report so here's hoping....
Naomi and Tracey joined Rachel for a 2.75km litter picking session in the city centre. In just over 90 minutes, 2 bin bags of mostly bottles, cans, coffee cups and empty food packaging was collected whilst upcoming tasks and recruiting new volunteers were discussed.
It was great to start the session in much more daylight than the group has previously seen on a Tuesday night meetup. It was much easier to tell what was rubbish and needed collecting and what were much more permanent fixtures.
Thanks to Naomi and Tracey for coming along - next week the group will meet at Jury's Inn and head into Darley Park before returning to the city as it gets darker.
