Well last night was our smallest attended session, its half term and the weather was dreadful! At the last minute I changed the task due to the rain, we had leaflet distribution planned that will now be next week, it was too wet and the leaflets would have got too soggy, and so we had a think of where to go tidy up and Mr pete came up with a great location, the subway!! that way we could stay dry and still do good.

There were just 4 lovely runners last night, setting off from the usual location, however part of our task was to have a important networking meeting about our start location with a top secret new hotel chain, so listen up for the change, its happening soon.

Anyway back to the run. We ran through the rain straight through the town centre, then it was on to the big hill, it was breath taking, and not in a striking beauty kind of way....the top of the hill was our final destination, we had 2 bin bags each to fill, a pair of gloves and off we set like 4 rabbits burrowing through the subway.

Pete picked a good un with the location, there was plenty of rubbish to be collected up! we collected 8 bags between us, some of the goodies we found were: playdoh, a few chocoloate fudges, a umbrella!! some gloves, 2 plastic grids, 2p and a tomatoe (2 keys and a smart phone!!?? through the rain is what was heard)

We got loads done, and this time we had a lot of praise from local people asking what we were doing (it was pouring with rain and I did ask this question too!) its always a good thing, as we are planting seeds for people, I watched a documentary this week about human behaviour and how people act and behave in similar manner as it feels like being in a tribe, well I hope people copy this behaviour and think about the community they live in.

My point is that there were only 4 of us, but 4 people can still make a difference, we shifted 8 bin bags of rubbish from a not so big area, but we also made a impact on the people around us, and thats what its all about, just a shame we got totally soaked in the process.......

On the way back we got a glorious heckle from a car, which was nice, not polite in the slightest, but it made us laugh!

Well done Anne, Racheal and Pete for braving the horrid rain with me, for networking and picking up litter, your great! Racheal your going to be missed, but keep on going with the rehearsals and make sure you fit little runs in for yourself :)

Until next week folks have a great time running,
