SESSION ORGANISER

Report written by Derby runner
Well done to everyone who logged a training session today, looking out for something beginning with L; Katherine and Helen literally logged it! Katherine also did a good deed with a bit of litter-picking, having found a list in a little lake. Helen spotted some larger lakes, and a beautifully ornate lamppost with lichen. Other lampposts featured; Lauren found a Derby one, Gwyn spotted a Welsh one, Peter a Redbridge one, and Tracey chose one surrounded by lots of leaves.
A very welcome picture of new life in spring showed Naomi’s lambs. A little bird told me (OK, it was Dani, our lovely Derby trainer) that Naomi rescued one of them (or was it one of their parents?) on Tuesday. Another good deed – thank you!
Jo and Roz ran together in Liverpool, along Lark Lane, Gwyn ran along Lon Las, Tracey found yet more lichen on her lane, and Katherine’s lane was plural; Lanes Garden Centre.
Peter carried on his vehicle theme from last week, finding a Land Rover, and ended his run next to the lilies in his garden.
I took a picture at the end of my run, too – having spotted some lovely lawns on the run, but feeling it looked rather suspicious to be taking photographs of other people’s gardens, I decided it less intrusive (though also less spectacular) to take one at home, so took a picture my left leg lunging on my lawn.
I thought that I might have managed to get the largest number of different Ls in a single image there, but Pauline’s late entry (2 minutes to midnight!) arrived containing a fantastic collage, and a long list of them, which I've lazily chosen to cut and paste:
Lizards (not real, I’m afraid) on a wall; Lichen; Lexus; Litter bin 1; Lion; Labour of love (poop scooping); Lime tree; Laburnum; Locks; Log; Lovers; Lighter; Litter; Litter bin 2; Lockdown liberation.
All that on a single 5k route! Looking forward to next week?
