9 Goodgymmers enjoyed a very mild Fool's Spring evening as they went back to their roots helping out at Tottenham Green.

Thorn to Fly

On what was a remarkably mild February evening, our Goodgymmers met Laura from Friends of Tottenham Green for our monthly session in the Green and you can tell Spring is on its way because there was plenty to do!

We cut back an unruly buddleia, litterpicked an area trimmed earlier in the day by Haringey Council, sorted out the leaf compost area, and planted dozens of rose stalks on one of the large beds by the High Road.

Our Goodgymmers were the epitome of sprightliness. Buzzing here, flapping there - the heroes of the piece made quick work of our tasks for the evening.

At some point, Dave even tried to fly off into the night and we had to catch him with a big net.

By the end we were washed over by the satisfaction of a job well done and were covered in countless prickly burs we collected on our attire along the way.

Fun times.

Back next week, on Monday for a night at the Library. Join us!
