10 Goodgymers took on a 4k run, endured arm day and enjoyed the music along the way

Sarah who’s covered 134.4k in the past 30 days – huge!

As I waited Sarah turned up with about twenty bags full of clothes etc that she’d left at work after getting changed and running home of an evening… shouts out to Sarah who’s covered 134.4k in the past 19 days – huge! Keep on keeping on Sarah.. 8 places and you’re at the top of the overall leaderboard. You’re defo marathon ready (well done on beating the ballot too)

in his 80s

We were headed over to Noel Park to help keep the place tidy for Floyde who’s maintained the park for many years with not much help.. and he’s in he’s 80s. Very impressive work he’s done over there too. After a briefing and warm up we were en route to what would be a smashing task (in more ways than one).

7 bin bags of waste

On arrival to the park we dished out litter pickers and got stuck in.. searching out all manner of rubbish from all corners of the park. Our litter pick was much needed and we managed to fill 7 bin bags with waste. We came together as a team and did Floyde proud. Shouts out to Andy who took care of Floyde’s little growing patch - lots of rubbish there. Big shout out to Sarah at Clean Up Uk for lending us the litter picking packs. Look up CleanUpUk if you'd like to arrange a litter pick in your area.

we were locked in

With time running out we packed up and headed toward the exit and as we got closer I remembered an earlier conversation about the park being locked with us still inside and would you believe the gate was locked – we were locked in. We looked at each other and the size of the gate and decided to scale it, this was no problem at all as the gate wasn’t that big and we once again came together as a team to ensure everyone got over safely. Our run back to HQ was nice and easy.. we remained together in a pack for most of the way.. I think the cold may have had us huddle together that little bit more.. but then again it did smell like team spirit
