After the previous two missions at Oasis Foundry School were cancelled, it was third time lucky as we got to work on the wildlife area again. Balal, Fiona, Amy and Paul were met by Megan, Jake, a bag of gravel and three incredibly friendly alpacas!

The task today involved filling the pond we have recently been working on with gravel. Jake explained this was to help plants to grow as they would take root in the gravel. Everyone got a good workout as this task required us to fill two wheelbarrows with gravel, taking them to the pond and then carefully emptying out the gravel evenly around the pond - and repeat a few times!

Once we had finished with the pond, we used the remaining gravel to line the bee bank - hence today's pun. This proved a little difficult as it dark by this time but we managed to do a good job.

It was time to go but not before saying goodbye to Megan, Jake and the alpacas who had been following us around for the whole time we were there!
