We arrived at our mission as a dark cloud hung overhead with Mrs R ready and waiting for us to arrive. A keen gardener, Mrs R has a beautiful front garden but was struggling to look after it herself due to her arthritis - GoodGym to the rescue!

We got straight to work - Samia took the job of pruning a pretty shrubbery that was looking a little wild and Laura got to work weeding around the lovely palm tree. Mrs R gave us lots of pointers (one day Laura will know what a weed is…) and we got to use some cool tools provided to us - including a cool double-ended half-spade half-fork to get those pesky dandelions out from their roots.

After spotting a rather terrifying eight-legged monster, Laura was a little more on edge, BUT this was not the only critter we would come across! Samia moved on to another part of the garden with the big scissors and discovered a frog sitting by the wall.

Once the main part of the front garden was done, Laura moved on to de-mossing the driveway. It didn’t take long for the sun to come out, which signalled time for us to leave.

Mrs R was very grateful for our time and hopefully we’ll be back soon to tackle the back garden!
