On this Sunday morning, Yangki, Mark and I met in an estate near Oval. The lovely Linda and Ade have been looking forward to cutting Mr D's trees for absolutely ages. They had already borrowed all the tools we needed from another neighbour so we were ready to crack on as soon as we arrived.

With all the excitement, we completely forgot to take pictures at the start and got on with the work.

Yangki started cutting a great deal of branches from one of the trees, and in an Edwards Scissors Hands fashion, it already looked nice and neat after a few minutes. Ade and Linda, the neighbours, decided to have a good go at the tree which had been blocking the sunlight into their gardens. No words can describe the satisfaction on their faces when it touched ground. Meanwhile, Mark and I took turns attempting to saw a large tree located against the fence. After a few rounds of sawing in an awkward position, SUCCESS!

In such a short amount of time, we all achieved a lot in that Sunday morning. Such a lovely feeling to see this local community coming together along with GoodGym to help one of their residents. With maybe another visit or two to sort out the garden, Mr D. and his dog will eventually have their garden back!
