Following a call out from the Trust 10 team to our very own National Trust Tom, 6 Sheffield Goodgymers and 1 baby Goodgymer filled the marshaling shortfall to help ensure this great free 10k trail run could go ahead this month.

Dutiful Jenny met us at the Cafe and gave all a quick brief on emergency procedure and marshaling locations. Armed with our foil blankets, ice packs and emergency procedure quick ref cards we donned National Trust hi-viz and headed out on to the trails.
An additional hazard on the course today was the rouge cows wandering through the estate, but this was easily dealt with by Agricultural Andrew, warning runners of the upcoming bovine peril.
Goodgymers cheered on the running masses including GG Cat running the course. A good time was had by all chomping down on the sausage rolls, and roasted parsnips (as well as tea and cake), provided to the volunteers during the wash up de-brief following the run.
A very enjoyable start to our Sunday morning.
