I met Diane outside Greggs in Brixton on Monday night to collect their unsold food and deliver it to be distributed on behalf of Bright Morning Star Prison and Homeless Outreach.

We both arrived slightly early and were told to wait outside the shop until they closed at 6pm. At 6 on the dot, they beckoned us in to pile our bags high with baked goods, pastries and sandwiches. Since I was on my bike and Diane was walking, we tried to distribute the load so that I had slightly more to take there, having the advantage of some wheels . We then said our goodbyes and made our way to the drop off point separately.

Thanks Charlotte! I gotta say that walking up Brixton Road at 6pm with the smell of doughnuts and sausage rolls emanating from my bags made me mega hungry by the time I got home 😊🍩
