Report written by Jo Kitching
This evening, Katie L, Lynn and Rachel joined me at Southsea Castle for our 30 minute run along the seafront.
As we were starting at the Castle we headed towards Old Portsmouth and thankfully the strong winds and rain we've had in recent days had subsided. Our run took us past the war memorial on the common, the hovercraft and amusements and we all ran under a tunnel before passing the garrison church and heading back along the seafront.
It was a great evening to get out for a run and have a catch up with everyone before the rain started and we headed home for the evening.
I thought the title of tonights run should be sung to the tune of Jump in memory of Van Halen.

This is part of our work to manage our churchyard in a more nature -friendly way, to increase biodiversity. The churchyard is often used by local dog walkers and is an oasis of green space in the area.
