Mission Accomp-list!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Greenwich.
- Sunday, 26th of May 2019
Ms C was referred to GoodGym because she had a lot of jobs she hadn't been able to do herself since she began losing her sight. When Marta and I arrived, we realised this wasn't just one task - it was a whole list of them, even after a neighbour had helped her with some jobs! We immediately set to work hanging Ms C's freshly-washed curtains. Next, we moved to the bedroom to flip the mattress - luckily it was light enough for us to turn easily! In the kitchen, we drained the washing machine and cleaned the filter, then dusted the top of the kitchen cabinets and laid some newspaper there to catch the dirt. Soon we began whizzing through the rest of the list, including: - Changing batteries in the remote control - Retuning the TV - Checking for a broken picture frame - Rehanging an airer string - Getting the hoover out of the shed - Removing an old hanging basket. What an interesting mission, and Ms C was pleased that so many things that had been bothering her were now sorted!
