Mist opportunity
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Sunday, 1st of November 2015
The morning after Halloween night 2 ghoulish GoodGym members made their way to haunted Homerton to help clear the garden of a lovely lady who is recovering from a nasty fall. London was still in it’s best fancy dress with the morning mist and autumnal leaves showing nature always wins the best outfit prize!
With a shed full of tools David and I could tell that our new friend was very keen on her garden, but as she had just spent 3 months in hospital the wicked weeds had taken over. Over to us to fight back. So with all manner of tools, including brooms of course, we set to work. Pruning, weeding chopping and sweeping, we made good progress through the large patio area, no time unfortunately to attack the flower beds. A return mission perhaps? As we said our goodbyes the sun was coming out, lifting the spirits further. Goodgym in the morning - what a magical way to start the day!
