It’s hard to believe that Christmas is already upon us… I’m sure only a few weeks ago it was the summer holidays and we were all discussing the potential risks of sun stroke and the application of blocking lotion.

What better way to get into the swing of things than decorations of the festive kind…..

Tonight we headed down to St Margaret’s in Pimlico which is a space used by Open Age to put on activities for older people.

On Friday night the over 50s will be attending the venue for a Christmas party and Open Age wanted to decorate it to make the place look a little nicer.

GoodGym Westminster jumped at the chance to help. We work hard as an organisation with people who are trying to lower the amount of people that are left isolated, as they grow older, so a task like this is very close to our hearts.

Newbies in tow post briefing we headed out the door and steadily made our way south. 2 miles later we arrived. Greeted by the lovely Ashley we were ushered into the warm room, given tea, coffee, water and giant box full of decorations.

We set about our task and 30 minutes later the room looked like a feature in lap land. Beautiful, pretty and shiny. Don’t take my word for it check the pics lol.. tinsel, holly, mistletoe, bells, bobbles EVERYTHING…. Im not sure about you but NOW im excited about Christmas…..

Intervals along the embankment, drills through the park and bounding up the steps…… Great task, great company… Thank you for your time…..

See you all next week and please don’t forget, continue to do small things with great love…..
