A hearty 5 gathered once again at Willesden sports centre for a run a good deed and some non descript core & speed work.

Another 3k run was on the cards this week, perfect! That leaves plenty of time for other lactic acid inducing stuffs. Harlesden Methodist church was the destination to do a bit of a clear up at the front. I read in the last trip here the group got a little lost, so me being a tourist to the area thought there would be no hope and I would easily turn the 10min run into a Wembley type trip (sorry Darren). But fear not, google maps sat nav was ready to go. The plan was to use two separate routes there and back so we could make a strategic stop off in the park on our return.

Between google maps and some navigation from Sadhana we made it there with just one wrong turn at the zebra crossing...my bad. Once there we anxiously waited for some cleaning tools and the now infamous jet washer; a few minutes later we were told the nozzle attachment thingy still has not been found so we stuck to window cleaning and litter picking. The lighter work load was a breeze for the group, sparkling windows within 10mins and countless cigarettes butts carefully picked up with litter pickers. The last thing was just to sweep any excess debris into piles and get them into the rubbish bags.

Less than half an hour later and we were ready for the second part of our journey. Google maps resurfaced and we made our way further up the high street before turning into some residential roads. The rest, as they say, is history.

Once in the park Out and Back sprints were on the menu plus another ab blast to top last week. The only fail at the end was my watch battery painfully dying on me just as I went to read the run stats to everyone.
