I was handily located to pop out from work in my lunch break to help Mr N with his sodden bathroom floor. It seems there had been an influx of mystery water over a week or so ago and it was making the bathroom floor dangerous for him, particularly as he had suffered a recent fall and was worried about the prospect of slipping over on the wet floor which still hadn't dried.

Fortunately he was very well equipped with a brand new mop and bucket which was very effective at mopping up the surface water. Some of the excess water had seeped through the floor though and was coming out from under the flooring which made it trickier to mop but I still managed with some well directed pressure to eek much of it out.

Following his expert direction I also set up a heater trained on the floor to help dry out the flooring which whilst mopped clean and dry, was still showing signs of being somewhat damp. Hopefully this will dry out the rest of it and make his bathroom available for his safe use again now.

Also managed a quick mop/sweep in the kitchen too, whilst having a little chat about Christmas plans and then I headed out taking his rubbish with me to launch into his wheelie bin which he was most grateful for. It was most pleasing to leave the vicinity of work and home and the adventure to help someone else out helped get me feeling suitably festive!

Great mission Leo! Hopefully Mr N will be able to get the potential leak sorted soon!
