Eleanor, Louise and I were back for our weekly mission at the East End Women Foodbank, and we were joined by the paparazzi today, something which we are fortunately well accustomed to at GoodGym!

Throughout the afternoon we completed the usual tasks, filling the drivers' cars full of ambient and fresh food parcels to be delivered, as well as packing over 50 ambient food and toiletry parcels ready for delivery next week.

We finished up by refilling all of the tables of food and built up a pretty impressive mountain of cardboard in the process. As always it really does feel like you're making a positive difference to people's lives with this task, and its a thoroughly enjoyable one too!

East End Women
A project supporting women with skills and training, education, loneliness and domestic abuse recovery.

East End Women offers practical courses for women to build confidence and skills around DIY, sewing, pattern cutting and basic trades. We also deliver the Freedom Programme domestic abuse recovery course, helping women to better understand the roots of domestic abuse and build confidence to identify warning signs in the future. In addition to this, East End Women also offer social activities and drop-in sessions for women experiencing isolation to meet one another, make friends and build local networks.
