This weeks parkrun community event was more poignant than most, following the death of our wonderful volunteer Sandie. Sandie was the most brilliant supporter of all the children and adults at Queen’s Park junior parkrun, Brighton. Her marshaling position was the final turn before the finish and she often recruited a crew of small volunteers, that would encourage others after they had finished. We loved her, she lit up Sunday mornings and in her memory we wore colourful and glitzy outfits and cheered and whooped our socks off. Supporting inclusive communities was Sandie through and through. We miss her, but will continue community building through our volunteering ❤️
