Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Madhan
As I was walking from Finsbury Park after completing a super quick mission to Gospel Oak, I took a short stop at a coffee shop to load myself with some caffeine.
30 minutes later I arrived at Mr.L's apartment. The clock said 3:30 pm. I had to kill another half an hour before joining Kenny to start the mission. So I sat in the garden of the apartments and started writing the report for the previous mission and the time went by quickly.
With 5 minutes to 4, I was welcomed by a gentleman in smart casuals. It was Kenny, who cycled his way after having dinner with his friends.
After punching in the secret codes to call Mr.L, the main door opened. The apartment was a maze and the house numbers are not in order. We managed to find Mr.L's house and his brother welcomed us. Mr.L has cataracts and couldn't see properly these days but welcomed us with his words. Mr.L's brother showed us the task for the day which was to move the 2 seater sofa out of the house. The sofa looked smaller than I imagined and it was not heavy either.
The problem would be taking it out of the small doorway and taking it 4 floors down. As expected the sofa got stuck, but the bushes under the sofa were easily removable. After that, the sofa came out easily.
Kenny suggested that the sofa might fit the lift and it did. I took the sofa with the lift and Ken took his belongings and sofa cushions and joined me in another lift.
Then we put the sofa in front of the apartment and the mission was completed in under 15 minutes. That's two quick missions in a day.
I was telling Kenny about the bramble bashing this morning. Kenny also mentioned a weeding mission he did previously with a strong lady from the west
. Can you guess who that might be? Hint - She did a community mission with me this morning. He then walked back with me for some time till we parted in opposite directions as I have to catch a tube back home and I started writing this report on my journey back home.
