This week 5 marvelous GoodGymers ran 5km to help a local nature reserve
I was still alone at 6.45pm, and startes to think the Christmas socials and the winter colds had dismantled the GG team until next year.
Luckily, Nurjehan soon appeared, followed by Haringey newbie Amanda - Hurrah!
We quickly warmed up out front befire heading towards Westbury Nature Reserve.
Luke was already there as we arrived. He quickly set us to work moving rubble and sticks, and showed us the pond that they've started.
There will be a mission to help with that soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
We had 30 minutes to move everything, and like the superheroes GGH are, the task was done in less that that.
It was soon time to say our goodbyes and head home. But not before a qhick circuit and even quicker game of knee tag in Lordship Rec.
Then we ran back, did some stretching and said our goodbyes.
One run left this year. Hope you can make it!
"The Westbury Banks Nature Reserve is a community lead project to transform derelict land into a nature reserve. All work on the site is on a voluntary basis and the management of the site is done free of charge! There are big plans to install a storage unit for the equipment, a mural, a log path with wood chipping, a pond for amphibious for wildlife and a grand insect hotel
