Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Matthew
On a balmy Friday morning, Ian and Matthew went to help move some furniture in order to help the owner back home. The aim was to move two heavy sofa chairs, a table, two filing cabinets up to a bedroom so that a hospital bed could be installed in the lounge as the lady had mobility issues. It turned out there was plenty of other things to move as well down four flights of steps and into an outside shed. We met the ladies lovely nieces who were spending hours helping to sort their aunt's flat out. After much moving and grunting and perspiring we managed to move everything they wanted. It is so humbling to be able to go to people's houses and help with tasks like this so people can come home from hospital. A great workout and a really worthwhile task.
