MowTown Greens.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Saturday, 20th of October 2018
Arriving by bikes not feet, Jill and I arrived at Ms E's house to be led to a lovely garden in good shape that just needed a bit of TLC. As Jill has had lots of experience in her own garden, she skilfully tackled the mowing aspect of the task while I stuck to the less technical task of pulling up weeds, pausing briefly to send back a football which had been rather too enthusiastically lobbed over the fence by the next door neighbour's child. Once the lawn was looking even and neat (just like hoovering apparently!) then Jill assisted with the remaining wedding while chatting to Ms E and reminiscing about shared careers. Several bags of garden waste were removed and the task was completed, leaving a nice space for Ms E to enjoy while the sun was still shining.
