Mrs M is in her 80s and has been quite isolated since the pandemic. Her family pop in every other day to help her around the house but she's in need of some other social interaction. Liverpool Cares have been running zoom get togethers for a while now but Mrs M has found the technology impossible. I sat with Mrs M for around an hour and set up zoom for her. We tried a test meeting and I talked her through each step of the process. It took us about 5 goes for her to perfect it and I wrote down step by step instructions to help her when she does it on her own, including which button you use to capitalise letters!

After mastering zoom, Mrs M offered me a socially distanced cuppa and a few biscuits. She showed me photographs of her family including her great grandchildren and told me of the interesting life she's led. She was so kind and I'm really glad to have helped her out in a small way.
