With Shaun galavanting at top speed up and down mountains proudly presenting GoodGym (and Great Britain) at the European Mountain Running Championships Tom stepped in to do his best Shaun impression.
Having gone through a warm up of ministry of silly walks we all jogged together over to Maiden Lane Estate where we got stuck in helping the Foodloop Project. We shovelled, bagged and wheel barrow'd (well supermarket trolley'd) a huge pile of compost and mulch across the estate creating a store of over a year's supply of compost!
Whilst honing our trolley dash skills we also got positive encouragement from the kids who took a keen interest in the pungent shipments. With a system of shovelling, bagging, pushing, unloading and pile building we got loads done before we then split off into two groups for the run home.
One group went for a longer 6km run along the canal towards Pirate Castle, the other group a slightly shorter, but no less energetic 4km run back to Somers Town Community Centre.
After a group stretch the pub, and the football, was calling...
